Music video! I’ve gotten a head-start on one of my 2011 resolutions, which was to learn the basics of Final Cut Pro.
When I got back to Brooklyn on Sunday (day after Xmas), I had beaten the worst of the storm (i.e. before the trains and roads shut down.) Then I realized the snow was still doing it’s thing and would be for hours. My neighborhood was a complete ghost town… a serene, powder-white winter wonderland of a ghost town.
Safe in my room, I was picking a tune on my Ramirez I wrote about a year ago, while watching the snow fall. I hadn’t yet recorded it, out of perfectionistic procrastination most likely. The next day — work cancelled, of course — I went outside early before any footsteps could ruin the virgin snow-banks, and shot what I could before my iPhone short-circuited from dropping in the snow a dozen times.
It’s the first thing I ever shot and edited. Enjoy!
